PURPOSE:

Our purpose is to increase public awareness of the need for volunteers for most organizations and social service agencies in Macon County. We achieve this by networking to increase knowledge of volunteer opportunities, providing training for volunteer coordinators and publicly recognizing volunteers.
 

Volunteer Grants and Projects 2007-2008

Volunteer Thank You Celebration: annual recognition event to honor all volunteers in human service agencies and organizations in Macon County.

Volunteer Coordinators Professional Development: continued education to share and learn techniques for recruiting, training and retaining volunteers.

Each year, the division purchases the magazine "The Volunteer Management Report" which is made available to HSAC members.
