Tokorozawa, Japan
Tokorozawa (pop. 300,000) is located on an agricultural plateau 22 miles northwest of Tokyo. Nevertheless, it is a residential suburb of this ultra-modern city with easy access by speed strain for day trips.
The city is a distribution system center for the excellent Sayama green tea grown in the area. Produced in the city are exquisite dolls and wooden paddles used in festivals. Tokorozawa has an elected mayor and large city council assembly similiar to Decatur.
