
The Metro Decatur Chamber of Commerce joined with Macon County businesses and human service agencies to enhance the cooperative involvement in facilitating business and community access to information about ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND OTHER DRUGS PREVENTION, INTERVENTION AND TREATMENT.
Representatives from Mental Health Association, Decatur Community Partnership, Decatur Mental Health Center, May, Cocagne, and King, P.C.; St. Mary's Hospital, Archer Daniels Midland Company, MOHA-Midwest Occupational Health Assoc., Macon County State's Attorney's Office, Decatur Memorial Hospital-Corporate Health Care, and the Metro Chamber of Commerce worked with the dollars recieved from the Illinois Chamber Grant Program, DRUG FREE ILLINOIS WORKPLACE PROGRAM.
The committee objective: bringing information about drug free workplace programs to as many Macon County residents as possible through the Metro Chamber of Commerce membership and community activity.
The following information was gathered from "Making Your Workplace Drug Free" a program from the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention. The Metro Chamber of Commerce believes that every workplace should have ZERO TOLERANCE IN THE WORKPLACE. The following pages give information regarding a workplace program, information for families, and general drug prevention information.
