                                    -referrals should be directed to Central Intake and Assessment staff.
    Target Audience: Anyone with an alcohol or drug addiction or dependency. The Center accepts referrals from employers, hospital treatment centers, physicians and other major referral sources.

    Thje Decatur Mental Health Center's Geoghegan Recovery Center offers a continuum of care congruent with the American Society of Addiction Medicine recommendations.  Levels of care range from outpatient treatment services to medically monitored residential treatment.

    Treatment is individualized and guided by an individualized treatment plan based upon a comprehensive bio-psycho-social assesment of the client.  Length of treatment is variable and directly linked to the clien't response to treatment.

    For adolescents (12-17 years old) who abuse alcohol or other drugs, or who are chemically dependent, DMHC/GRC offers individual, family, and/or group counseling/therapy.

    Target Audience: General public, plus specialized populations, currently including individuals in public housing and in the Old King's Orchard Neighborhood.

    The Prevention Program coordinates, integrates and/or provides educational and supportive services to empower individuals, families, and neighborhoods to attain and sustain a drug-free lifestyle.  Many prevention activities are geared toward the child and family.  Programs occur in the school and the community both during the school year and the summer.  Some of the Prevention activities include: Conflict resolution; dissemination of anti-drug information at after-school activities; assist in increasing positive role models in the school; assist in the development of an after-school resource and study center located at Longview; and assist in training youth to become positive peer counselors

    Target Audience: For persons 62 years and older (55 years of age and older if disabled and living in subsidized housing) with late onset problems.  Also family members and/or care givers of older adults.

    The following services are provided in the office or on an outreach basis: Assessment; individual, family, and/or group counseling; case management, including linkage, coordination, advocacy, and referral; hospital follow-up; psychiatric consultation; substance abuse treatment; and twenty-four hour crisis intervention.

    The team is also available to make presentations to groups regarding the problems/issues affecting older adults.

    The Red Ribbon Committee provides speakers, panel discussions, displays and literature regarding the many impacts of drugs in the workplace.  This may include impacts on employee health, insurance, productivity, accidents, and morale.  Family-focused topics regarding alcohol and other drug abuse also available.

    The St. Mary's Employee Service Center provides employee assistance program (EAPs) for local employers.  The St. Mary's Employee Service Center serves Decatur, Springfield, Sullivan, and Clinton.  The program is affiliated with Midwest Occupational Health Associates (MOHA).  The program has been in place for 14 years.

    Target Audience: Anyone with a substance abuse problem.  The treatment center accepts referrals from employers, community agencies, physicians and self.  Referrals should be directed to intake and assessment staff.

    St. Mary's Treatment center offers a full continuum of care:

    The treatment center shares the common philosophy that with professional counseling and comprehensive education about their disease, patients can learn to cope with their illness and improve the quality of their lives.

    Each patient has a thorough bio-psycho-social assessment and an individualized treatment plan.

    Adolescents with substance abuse problems are treated in the adolescent behavioral services unit.  The full continuum of care is available for them.

    MOHA is an occupational health program that provides a wide range of services for local employers to help facilitate a drug-free workplace.  The program is affiliated with St. John's and St. Mary's hospital.  MOHA works closely with St. Mary's Employee Service Center.  MOHA is located in Decatur next to St. Mary's and in Springfield next to St. John's.  A mobile testing van is available for on-site drug testing collection and breath alcohol testing.  MOHA has been in business for eight years.

    Fitness-For-Duty/Reasonable Cause Exams
                Examination conducted by medical director to determine fitness-for-duty or ability to return-to-work.  These exams can provide medical determination if an employee is impaired by substance abuse and is unable to work.  The medical director can also determine appropriate treatment needs.

    DOT and Non-DOT Drug Testing and Collection

    Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT) Random Drug Testing
            Drug testing, collection, and computer random selection to meet DOT requirements

    Post Accident Drug Testing
            Drug collection and result testing by a NIDA laboratory, MOHA has 24 hour service collection services for employers who need post-accident testing.

    Medical Review Officer (MRO) Services
            The MOHA medical director is a board-certified occupational health specialist and a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine(ACOEM).  He has 18 years experience with addiction medicine and a master's degree in behavioral sciences and substance abuse.  He is certified as a medical review officer(MRO) and serves on the executive committee of ACOEM's MRO section.

    Substance Abuse Treatment
            MOHA can provide out-patient and in-patient treatment to employees who need treatment for substance abuse.

    Expert Witness Services
            The MOHA medical director can provide expert testimony on substance abuse and drug testing.
